Lily received her Bachelor of Arts from the George Mason University Honors College in 2021, majoring in Global Affairs and minoring in Chinese Language and Culture. She graduated magna cum laude and received the Excellence in the Chinese Minor award. As an undergraduate, Lily served as the president of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity chapter at her school.

Through her participation in the Bachelor’s to Accelerated Master’s program and her effective time management, Lily completed both degrees in four years.

Lily earned her Master of Arts in Global Affairs with a specialization in Global Governance and Public Policy. She graduated summa cum laude and received the 2022 Certificate of Merit in the Global Affairs Master’s program. As a master’s student, Lily was the alumni advisor for George Mason’s chapter of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity.

Paralegal 2023 – 2024

Lily served as a paralegal for William J. Dinkin, a well-respected criminal defense attorney with extensive experience in both state and federal court, in Richmond, Virginia.

In her role, Lily was responsible for drafting motions, filing expungement orders, conducting legal research, meticulously reviewing discovery productions, and communicating with clients. This position provided her with a deep understanding of the operations of state and federal court systems and the complexities of trial preparation.

Lily is eager to pursue a career in international law after earning her J.D. With her bachelor's and master's degrees in global affairs, along with her experience living in China and studying Mandarin, she is well-equipped to explore the areas of law that impact US-China trade, business relations, and dispute resolution.

Additionally, Lily has a strong background in human rights advocacy and hopes to incorporate pro bono human rights work into her legal career. This blend of academic achievements and practical experience positions her for a meaningful and impactful career in the legal field.
